Our inn was founded in 1956 at Kiso no Kiso Hakkei, one of the Kiso no Kakehashi of Kiso.
It is a small inn with only 9 rooms, but it is located in a natural environment with Kiso River flowing right in front of it.

    Kakehashi Onsen Shinshu is a hidden hot spring inn located at the foot of the famous "Kiso no Kakehashi" mountain.
    We offer hospitality services such as accommodation, business meetings, banquets, day trips to hot springs (drop-in hot springs), and meals.
    It is a small inn with only nine Japanese-style rooms, but it is surrounded by nature.

    There are two types of baths: hot spring and cold spring.
    The view of Kiso River and Kiso no Kakehashi while surrendering yourself to the warmth of the hot spring is magnificent.
    Guests staying at the hotel can use the baths 24 hours a day.

    This is a hidden hot spring inn in Shinshu, located at the foot of the famous "Kiso no Kakehashi"

    The chef personally prepares each dish using seasonal ingredients and with great care.
    "Kaiseki cuisine is an extension of home cooking."
    We serve our dishes based on this concept.

    Enjoy kaiseki cuisine featuring horse sashimi, seasonal river fish, and seasonal vegetables.

Kiso no Kakehashi

  • What is Kiso no Kakehashi?

    Kiso no Kakehashi was once one of the three most difficult points on the Nakasendo road, and it was said that "if only Kiso no Kakehashi, Ota Ferry, and Usui Pass did not exist."
    It is also counted as one of the Eight Views of Kiso, "Morning Mist at Kiso Hakkei."
    It is widely known as a verse from "Kiso Bushi" and the Nagano Prefectural Song, "Shinano no Kuni."
    In 2016, it was certified as a "Japan Heritage" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

    Near the inn there is a stone monument with a haiku by Basho about the sandbank, and Nezame-no Kiso Hakkei, is just a five-minute drive away.
    Akasawa Natural Recreational Forest, known for forest bathing, is a 20-minute drive away.
    Narai-juku, Tsumago-juku, and Magome-juku are all 30 minutes away by car.
    It is about 60 minutes by car to Mount Ontake.
    Please use it as a base for sightseeing Kiso route.
