    • 10:00 Earthquake learning and hands-on learning

      The great tsunami of the Great East Japan Earthquake caused many lives to be lost in Miyako City (Taro) and the community to fall into a devastating situation.
      Even now, many temporary housings are lined up and live on the site of Greenpia.
      While the scars of the disaster have become less visible with the passage of time, we are conducting earthquake disaster learning to convey experiences and lessons learned from the disaster.
      In addition, we offer various plan such as "Experience in the forest" and "Experience in the sea".
  • Training camp / educational trip

    • Sports camp

      It is an environment rich in nature and vast, where you can concentrate on sports.
      A multi-purpose arena and gymnasium are adjacent to the hotel, so you can practice without loss of movement.
      It can be used in various competitions such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, and tennis.
    • Seminars and workshops

      It can be used for various purposes such as conferences, seminars, and lectures, such as a convention hall that can accommodate up to 600 people and a banquet hall that can accommodate 400 people.
      Each venue is equipped with a screen projector and supports presentations.
    • Chorus / wind music

      You can practice by renting the convention hall, such as intensive training camp immediately before the competition and joint practice.

  • Earthquake learning and volunteering

    • Narrator"Evacuation life after the earthquake"

      The storyteller will talk about evacuation life after the earthquake.
      Temple (Taro Jounji Temple 3/11 to 3/31), Greenpia (life of 700 multipurpose arenas from April to May), temporary housing, Greenpia becoming one town, etc.
      We will talk about the reconstruction of Taro while watching the slides.

    • Earthquake experiences and group study sessions

      Interview with about 10 people from temporary housing.
      Interviews are conducted in 10 groups, including the chairman of the self-government, the local welfare officer, the temporary store, the government office, the mother from the temporary housing, and the fire brigade.
      It's okay to ask anything, but it would be very helpful if you could tell us the content of your question in advance.

    • About evacuation life of 700 people

      At the indoor multipurpose arena, which was a refuge, you can experience the evacuation life of 700 people using the cardboard used for each household.
      You can experience the situation at that time when two family members lived in such a small space for several months.

    • Interview with Yuitori no Kai

      Mothers Yuitori no Kai" started from the meeting place.Currently, we have a workshop at home and interview from 3 to 6 mothers who are active.Anything is OK, such as the story that started Yutori, the story of the earthquake, and so on.

    • Visit Sanriku's largest temporary housing

      You will actually enter the first temporary housing, which is now vacant due to the rebuilding of the house.
      We hear story from person still living in temporary housing.
      The number of people that can be accommodated in a temporary housing at one time is about 10 to 15.

    • Temporary moms make"Taro Hot Pot"

      After the earthquake, everyone from all over Japan cooked out and was very helpful.
      We make "Taro Hot Pot" for lunch using Taro ingredients with gratitude at that time.

      We will talk about town development such as houses and shops after the earthquake.

    • Karakasamatsu Observatory(About 20 minutes on foot 1km)

      Located on the hotel grounds.
      Please see the designated natural monument "Karakasamatsu pine in Koborinai", which is estimated to be over 250 years old, the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, and the Rias coast unique to Sanriku.
    • Taro Earthquake Remains(About 10 minutes by car 7km)

      It was preserved in the state of the time, such as the huge seawall and the site of the Taro District of Miyako City Tourist Hotel, where the tsunami was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
    • Sannoiwa(About 10 minutes by car 8km)

      It boasts the most spectacular rock formations among the scenic spots on the Rikuchu Coast.
      It is made up of three giant rocks: a Taikoiwa (drum rock) shaped drum, a 50-meter-high Otokoiwa (male rock), and a Meiwa (female rock) beside it.
