Hometown cuisine

Tsumagoi Village, surrounded by mountains and plateaus, is the largest cabbage producing area in Japan.
We offer fresh local "highland vegetables" grown in the clear air and plenty of sunlight.
We offer seasonal menus that make use of Gunma ingredients such as Joshu Beef, trout, and sweetfish.

  • Ingredients from Tsumagoi

    In Tsumagoi Village, it is also called Tamana. "Tsumagoi cabbage"
    Starting with "highland vegetables" grown in the highlands at altitudes of 800m to 1,400m,
    It is an essential ingredient in mountain cuisine, such as the preserved winter food "mountain vegetables."
  • Homemade tofu

    The tofu served at dinner and breakfast is made with soybeans from Tsumagoi and is lovingly made every morning at the owner's family home.
    Soybeans are said to absorb oil components, so they are definitely good for your body.
    Enjoy the natural sweetness of soybeans.

We have a wide selection of Gunma local sake, including Hanaichi's original sake, which goes perfectly with the meals served at our inn.
For those who don't like alcohol, we also offer 100% apple juice and grape juice made from fruits from Shinshu, so please try them.
