- What is nagi-setouchi?
What is nagi-setouchi?
The thoughts of nagi-setouchi.
- The origin of the name of our inn, "Nagi," is "wind stops, (ocean) waves are calm, calm."
By extension, it means "calm society, no conflict, peace."
"Nagi" stands for Nature, Act, Global, and Invitation.
In other words, it is an invitation to learn about, protect, and enjoy nature in order to build sustainable peace.
The Tobishima Kaido, which is made up of seven islands connected by bridges and is said to be a pearl necklace floating in Seto Inland Sea, is a natural paradise that seems to combine all of these things.
We invite you into a nostalgic and comfortable atmosphere, as if you are enveloped in nature.

Remote islands in Seto Inland Sea,Toyoshima. This is a rental accommodation located in the center of Akinada Tobishima Kaido, which connects Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture and Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.
- This single-story house with a loft is located far from civilization, quietly surrounded by mandarin orange and lemon orchards.
Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the majestic Toyoshima Bridge and the gentle tides of Seto Inland Sea all to yourself.
The basic concept is. "Protecting nature and enjoying nature"
- We also pay special attention to building materials.
From the outside, discarded shipping containers are lined up to form each room, and the interiors are not covered with vinyl wallpaper.
The texture of the wood is utilized as it is.
Drinking water is pumped from groundwater and purified.
The wood stove is combined with air conditioning that prioritizes seasonal comfort, and the entire building is air-conditioned with air conditioning ducts connecting the attic and under the floor, creating a comfortable space.
The goal is. "Self-sufficiency in water and energy"
- In future secondary construction work, solar power generation and storage batteries are planned to be installed, and the roof shape is designed to accommodate this.
Once all of this is in place, we will be able to achieve self-sufficiency in water and energy.
Once you enter the entrance, you will find a spacious dirt floor with a wood-burning stove, and the flickering flames of the wood-burning stove (only available in winter) are the height of bliss.
