Hot Springs

Kujukushima Onsen contain a wide variety of highly concentrated minerals

Kujukushima Onsen is not a "simple spring," but the same type of water as famous hot springs that are highly prized nationwide and known as "golden hot springs" or "Aka-yu," and contains a large amount of iron ions.
In addition, it contains a high amount of various minerals, such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, and potassium ions.
Just in the hot spring bath (7.5 tonnes of water) the effective ingredients of the hot spring are dissolved in the form of cations and anions, equivalent in weight to about three adults (161.55 kg when analysed).
There are few hot springs that contain such a wide variety of hot spring ingredients in such high concentrations in a single spring source.
The quality of this spring water is so rare that it has been praised by many experts with amazement.

A spacious large bath

Kujukushima Onsen is a natural hot spring that gushes forth abundantly from 153 meters underground within the grounds of Hotel & Spa Hanamizuki.
Shioyu use mineral-rich seawater from Kujuku Islands, while the hot springs are 100% heated from the source.
You can enjoy the cold spring water, which is 100% sourced and flows directly from the source, and the spacious sauna.
  • Source hot spring

100% of the hot spring water is circulated using a heat exchanger without adding water.
The source of Kujukushima Onsen contains the equivalent of one 500ml plastic bottle of water.
It contains the same concentration of minerals as the calcium in about 10 bottles of milk (200ml) and the magnesium in about 125 almonds.
Due to the high concentration of iron ions, the spring is red in color, making it difficult to see your feet.
    Please be careful when bathing.
  • Cold spring water

When you bathe in 100% fresh cold spring water, which is made in a raw state before iron ions and various mineral ions are oxidized,
It has a powerful reducing effect (rejuvenating effect) on the body and skin.
Cold spring baths should be taken for 2 to 5 minutes at a time, up to three times a day, alternating with hot spring baths or sauna baths.
Your metabolism will become more active and your body will feel hotter when you go to sleep.
In addition, for chronic skin diseases, burns, and cuts, pouring or soaking the affected area in cold spring water can be effective.
Any number of times a day is OK.
  • Shioyu(Salt water)

Shioyu, which is made by pumping up and boiling the natural seawater of Kujuku Islands, is also known as the "Bijin-no-Yu."
You can experience thalassotherapy (marine therapy), which is popular for its natural healing effects.
Shioyu in lukewarm saltwater at around 39℃ to 41℃ for a little longer will stimulate your metabolism and warm your body.
In addition, the heat retention effect lasts for a long time even after bathing, so it is said to be good for moisturizing the skin.
This bath is gentle on the body and is expected to have skin-beautifying and slimming effects.

Our popular sauna room is the largest Sasebo!
