Echigo Izumozaki Tenryo no Sato is a facility covering an area of 21,000 m2, developed along the coastline overlooking Sado.
Izumozaki was established in 1616 as a port for discharging gold and silver from Sado.
It became the first directly controlled territory in Echigo where a magistrate's office was established.
Tenryo no Sato is home to the Tenryo Izumozaki Period Museum and the Izumozaki Oil Memorial Museum, which recreate the historical background of that time.
There is also the "Products Center" which sells local products from Izumozaki and the surrounding area, the restaurant "Jin-ya" where you can enjoy seasonal seafood,
It is a tourist hub for Izumozaki, with attractions such as the outdoor relaxation spot "Sea of Japan Sunset Park" and the tourist spot "Yunagi no Hashi."
