Yakushima Island is located 70km from Sata Cape, the southernmost point of Kyushu mainland, where the Kuroshio Current hits directly.
It is said that there are the most species of fish in Japan, and when you go to the sea, you will be greeted by a wide variety of fish.
Located in the center of Yakushima Island, the majestic mountain "Mt Miyanoura" boasts an altitude of 1,936m.
It is said to be the highest peak Kyushu and is counted as one of Japan's Top 100 Mountains.
There are also more than 40 mountains over 1,000 meters high, including Mt Nagata (1,886m) and Mt Kuromi (1,831m).
