Chitose Chaya is one of the four "Wisdom Mochi" teahouses that have been in business since 1690.
Our shop offers "hikian" which is made by grinding the beans with the skin on, so that the flavor of the beans is preserved.
We use 100% local mochi rice and are committed to delivering the traditional taste.

The Dragon Lantern Pine is the name of a legendary pine tree from which a dragon is said to have descended upon Manjusri at the edge of Amanohashidate.
Part of this sacred tree will be used as the counter on the first floor and tables on the second floor.
It has been revived after half a century.

A restaurant where you can enjoy local soba noodles.
"Ryugu Soba" is made with soba noodles produced in Tsutsukawa Ine Town, and is hand-made by craftsmen in a ratio of 2:8.
