A historic inn in Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
Tsurugata, a culinary inn located in the center of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, is housed in a merchant's house built during the era of Tokugawa Yoshimune, the eighth Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate (1744).
Along with Ohara Residence and Ohashi Residence, which are designated as Important Cultural Properties, this is one of the oldest and most historic buildings in Kurashiki, and it still retains the dignified appearance of a two-story townhouse with a built-in kitchen and cabinetry Middle of the Edo Period.
