A historic inn in Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

Tsurugata, a culinary inn located in the center of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, is housed in a merchant's house built during the era of Tokugawa Yoshimune, the eighth Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate (1744).
Along with the Ohara residence and the Ohashi residence, which have been designated as important cultural properties, it is the oldest building in Kurashiki, and retains the stately two-story zushi structure of Middle of the Edo Period townhouse.
