      In late March, 2,000 cherry trees (including Somei Yoshino and double-flowered cherry trees)

    • Takeo's Great Camphor Tree

      It is ranked 7th among giant trees in Japan and is over 3,000 years old.
      It has been designated as a natural monument of the city.
      The tree is 30m tall, with a trunk circumference of 20m and branches that spread 30m east-west and 33m north-south.
      This tree is the sacred tree of Takeo Shrine, the oldest shrine in Takeo City.
      The base of the tree resembles an elephant's foot and is covered with rough bark.
      Its center is open near the surface.
      Tenjin is enshrined inside the approximately 22 square meter interior.

    • Takeo Onsen Gate

      The Tower Gate at the entrance to Takeo Onsen has a history of 1,300 years.
      This wooden building, along with the "New Wing," was designed by Dr. Kingo Tatsuno, who also designed Tokyo Station.
      It has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
      Four zodiac signs were found on the second floor of the main gate, and when combined with the eight zodiac signs at Tokyo Station,
      It became a hot topic because all 12 zodiac signs were present.

      This shrine is counted among the three great Inari shrines of Japan, along with Fushimi Inari Shrine and Kasama Inari.

      Chimachibo Park is said to be the most scenic spot in Mount Kurokami Mountains.
