Kaminoyama Onsen

It is said that a traveling priest Gesshu from Hizen discovered a crane healing a wound at a hot spring.
For this reason, there was an old name for "Tsurusune-no-yu."
In the Edo period, Kaminoyama Clan and Kaminoyama Castle were placed here, and it prospered not only as a hot spring resort but also as a Castle Town.In recent years, it has been counted as "Ou Sanrakugo" along with Yunohama Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture and Higashiyama Onsen in Fukushima Prefecture, where the Hiragana notation "Kaminoyama Onsen" is often used to match the station name of the Yamagata Shinkansen.The hot spring town consists of 7 districts: Yumachi, Shin Yu, Tokamachi, Kawasaki, Takamatsu, Hayama, and Kanakame.Therefore, each district is regarded as an individual hot spring, and is also referred to as Kaminoyama Onsen Village for a while.
There are seven public bathhouses (Yumachi no Yu, Shin'yu/Sawano Yu, Hayama Public Bathhouse, Futsuka-machi Fureai no Yu, Nakayu, Shimooyu, and Shincho Kami no Yu) in the hot spring town where you can bathe for 150 yen
