"Directions to Sakura-no-Yado"

Sakura-no-Yado is quietly nestled in the rural landscape of Aso, Aso.
This is an old-style Japanese-style inn that can be rented out to only two groups per day.

So that even first-time visitors can come without getting lost,
We provide information on how to access the venue by various means of transportation.

Whether you are coming by car, train or plane,
We want you to feel safe and secure from the start to the end of your trip.
We will also introduce some points to note and things to be aware of along the way.

For customers who do not have their own means of transportation, we also provide free transportation to the nearest station.
If you have any requests, please feel free to contact us at the time of booking or a few days prior to your stay.

About 50 minutes by car from Kumamoto IC on Kyushu Expressway towards Aso.
If you are coming by train, it is a 12 minute walk from Ikoi-no-Mura Station.

  • When using a car

    【For guests coming from Kumamoto】
    ・From Kumamoto city or Kumamoto IC, take National Route 57 towards Aso.
    ・Approximately 70 minutes via Aso Choyo Bridge(Approximately 50 to 55 km)
    ・About 5 minutes after passing Aso Roadside Station, enter the Kurahara area
    ・Navigation Settings:"625-1 Kurabaru, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture"

    👉 The "northern restoration route" of National Route 57 has been well maintained and is smooth to travel through.
    👉 It takes about 60 minutes from Kumamoto Airport.

    【For guests coming from Oita Prefecture (Yufuin, Beppu, Taketa)】
    ・Head towards Aso via Yamanami Highway (Prefectural Route 11)
    ・It takes about 60 to 80 minutes to go through Senomoto Plateau and over Mt Daikanbo.
    ・Head south on National Route 212, enter Aso city and head to the Kurahara area.
    ・Navigation Settings:"625-1 Kurabaru, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture"

    👉 This route is also popular as a driving course.
    👉 Please be aware that there is a possibility of ice and snow in winter.
