Hope Lodge is located on a plateau where you can fully experience nature throughout the four seasons. Our staff is ready to welcome you so that you can enjoy the cool summers and cold winters.We all love animals, so we enjoy looking after the horses and sheep.I'm also looking forward to meeting the dogs and other animals that our customers bring with them.
In addition to accommodation, you can also enjoy a variety of activities such as horse riding, craft experiences, and BBQs.
With gentle Appaloosa Quarter Horses and friendly, fun instructors, everyone from beginners to advanced riders can enjoy horseback riding with peace of mind.

From the main lodge to the guest rooms, every building here is handmade.
We offer cottages, Western-style rooms, and Japanese-style rooms.
The rooms are all different and each one is unique.
Choose from a variety of options to suit your needs, whether you're with your family, spouse, friends, training, or a private training camp.
In the experience corner, we hold a variety of experience classes that can be done by one person.
It can be enjoyed by people of all ages, including preschool children.

The horse riding ground is located in front of the log house, which offers a panoramic view of Kurumayama Kurumayama.
Lessons are conducted using well-trained, calm horses.
Lessons are Western style and are suitable for everyone from children to seniors.
It can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to experienced players.
Even if it rains, you can take lessons in a covered riding arena, so you don't have to worry.

There are rooms with large beds and windows overlooking the horse riding grounds and Kurumayama, as well as rooms with unique Mexican-style decorations.
Additionally, the view from the corridor overlooking the atrium hall is open and spacious.

The first floor is the front desk, the restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served, and the second floor is the guest rooms.
In 1962, carpenters built Hope Lodge's first lodging building.
The founder learned the know-how by helping carpenters, and then went on to build several log houses with his own hands together with his colleagues.
Then in 1991, Canadian logs were imported and the house was rebuilt into this large two-story log home.
At the time, filming and other schedules overlapped, and construction took approximately three years to complete.
The building is impressively intricately crafted, with the rafters made from Kitayama cedar logs grown from seedlings in the founder's hometown of Kyoto, and interesting pieces of wood, such as curved and knotty forked trees that are normally difficult to use, collected from the mountains and used for the handrails on the stairs and as decorations on the front facade.

1st floor hall, 2nd floor guest rooms
This building is located to the west of the main log house.
It was built using recycled materials from the athletes' village of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
It has been renovated three times, and now features new stained glass lighting and interior décor.

Built in 1975, it was called the Craft Shed.
It is the second oldest remaining building at Hope Lodge.
The idea of planting grass on a roof was very unusual at the time, and it served as inspiration for many architects.
It is currently closed for renovations.
